The Home Staging Network in the UK has close links with the ‘Make a Wish’ charity and having undertaken my home staging training with the network I am occasionally asked to make a child’s wish come true and create their dream bedroom.
I wouldn’t be able to take on these projects without my team of tradespeople who are prepared to put in long hours and often travel long distances working to tight timescales and even tighter budgets to make these wishes come true.
Here two small rooms were made into one. Hope wanted fitted units around her bed and chose vintage fabrics and a feature wallpaper for a more grown up space.
Abbie wanted a glamorous “Kylie-style” room where she could hangout with her friends. She chose an eye-catching wallpaper for the feature wall and the mirrored furniture and crushed velvet curtains were an ideal addition.
The brief here was simple; a blue and orange scheme with a poster of Lionel Messi. Nonso chose the striped wallpaper for two of the walls and he wanted to free up some space to allow for a desk for homework. The bunk beds and beanbags meant there was plenty of room for him and his brother.
